Acrylic polyurethane (Acrylic PU) products are formulated using a branch of polyurethane resins. Our range of Acrylic PU are designed to deliver non-yellowing finishes particularly for light coloured timber substrates and man-made reconstituted timber veneers. Sherwin-Williams Acrylic PU products have excellent clarity and non-yellowing characteristics and ultimately deliver similar chemical and physical properties to our high performing PU range of products.  Ever popular ‘natural’ effect finishes are easily achieved with our Acrylic PU in low sheens and on the other end of the spectrum clear ‘brilliant’ high gloss finishes are also available.

For protection to the substrate from colour change caused by UV/sun light, we recommend the addition of UV Prohibitor XT170-5151 (PU) - please refer to the Technical Data Sheet for additional information.
